  1. The mobile version is a very good port but there are a few things missing from the original games. I’m curious, but some of the Icelades cult units are missing their sound effects, and almost if not all of the undead sound effects are gone. Also, there is no green shade when a unit is poisoned anymore. Are these just lost files or accidentally left out?

    1. Note: Undead sound files are not just missing, they are replaced with living soldiers dying instead. I.E. undying warriors sound like guards when they die.

    2. Hi! Thanks. Need to check the SFX — Flash was case insensitive, so UndeadAttack.mp3 and undeadattack.MP3 were the same. When ported to HTML5, it became important to keep the same letter case in code and file names, so just we’ll go through the names and check. The poison effect is missing indeed. Looks like it was made with some Flash effect that didn’t survive porting 🙂

  2. To: the developers of Takeover RTS,

Just want to provide the feedback, that out of all the online browser games available to play, Takeover RTS is the only browser game, that has really caught my eye.

Perhaps it would be safe to say, that with the technology of Quantum Computing, consoles would no longer be the platform to play good quality games.

Please continue to produce good quality games, as Takeover RTS.

    Thank you,

      1. I am not sure why my comment vanished, but I will try again. Takeover RTS is a wonderful port of the flash version and I am glad to see it brought back into the spotlight. But however, I am curious as to what happened to the original sound files for some units and poison effect sprites. The Rivadis empire and Horde undeads do not have their original voicelines and some of the cult machines do not have their machine sounds. Is it because the sound files could not be recovered from the flash version? (Also, i know they’re meant to be the villains of the game, but a potential chapter for the Rivadis Empire would be pretty fun.) Either way, thank you for the port. Very good job for a flash game that dated.
